Rex Orville Edwards was born Dec. 14, 1914 to Jerome Patterson and Anna B. Eisentrager Edwards. He died July 8, 1944 and is buried in Florence American Cemetery, Impruneta, Italy.
Pvt. Edwards served in World War II with the U.S. Army 133rd Infantry Regiment, 34th Infantry Division and died of wounds received in action in Italy. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
