Dale A. Edge was born Aug. 26, 1922 to Jacob Arthur and Laura Mary “Mae” Arnold Edge. He died Mar. 23, 1944 and is buried in Union Cemetery, Humboldt, IA.
Sgt. Edge was a Radio Man on Lt. James S. Riley’s crew of a B-24 Bomber “Naughty Blue Eyes” and was KIA in Nadzab, New Guinea. The crew was part of the 90th Bomb Group (H) B-24 “Jolly Rogers", 319th Squadron of the Army’s Fifth Air Force in World War II.
