Donald Dean Eckels was born Dec. 8, 1922 to Warren Ellsworth and Eleanor Osla Huxtable Eckels. He died June 6, 1944 and is buried in West Fairview Cemetery, Lenox, IA.
Pvt. Eckels served in World War II with the U.S. Army 506th Parachute Infantry and was MIA/KIA in Normandy, France.
