Pvt. James Duffield, of Camp Van Dorn, Mississippi, concluded a furlough visit here Monday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo W. [and Louise] Duffield, of near Leon.

NOTE: Pfc. James H. Duffield was born December 25, 1925 at Garden Grove. He enlisted at Camp Dodge, Des Moines, Iowa, on December 23, 1943, and served with the 291st Infantry, 75th Infantry Division. Pfc. Duffield was killed in action on January 15, 1945. He was interred at Garden Grove Cemetery, Garden Grove, Iowa.
