Carl Robert Dougherty was born Aug. 22, 1920 to Clarence J. and Dora E. Baxter Dougherty. He died May 2, 1945 and is buried in Forest Home Cemetery, Mount Pleasant, IA.
Pvt. Dougherty served in World War II with the U.S. Army 203rd Engineers, 77th Infantry Division and was KIA on Okinawa.
