Marvin aka Melvin Keith Diltz was born Dec. 9, 1919 to Peter Alexander and Zilpha Isaac Diltz. He died Oct. 8, 1944 and is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery and Memorial, Henri-Chapelle, Liege, Belgium and memorialized at Troy Mills Cemetery, Troy Mills, IA.
Pvt. Diltz served in World War II with the U.S. Army 113th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron and was KIA in Breberen, Germany. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
