Thomas C. De Young was born July 4, 1918 to Conrad and Ida Beetler De Young. He died Dec. 27, 1944 and has a cenotaph in Avon Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.
Pvt. De Young served in World War II with the U.S. Army 10th Infantry, 5th Division, 3rd Army and died of wounds received in action in Luxembourg while serving his country.
