Johanas “Joe" DeWitt was born Jan. 28, 1913 to Berend Lubertus and Anje Alberts DeWitt. He died Apr. 9. 1990 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Shell Rock, IA.
Joe served in World War II with the U.S. Army 2853rd Engineers Construction Battalion.
