Alton B. Curtis was born Mar. 20, 1909 to Ned and Augusta Volkman Curtis. He died Nov. 15, 1944 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-Avold, Lorraine, France.
Pvt. Curtis served with the U.S. Army 328th Infantry, 26th Division in World War II. He was KIA in France and awarded a Purple Heart.
