Ernest Edward Currington was born Nov. 30, 1908 to Henry Thomas and Ida Sandberg Currington. He died in 1962 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.

Pvt. Currington served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Currington Rites Monday

Ernest E. Currington, 53, died Thursday afternoon at the Hamilton county hospital. He had been in ill health the past several months.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 Monday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Paul Heath officiating and burial at Graceland cemetery where military services will be held.

Ernest Edward Currington, son of Henry and Ida Currington, was born Nov. 30, 1908, at Mora, Minn. He was reared and educated in that community, later moving to Isle, Minn.

He was united in marriage Sept. 29, 1934 to Mae Elletson, and shortly after their marriage they moved to Webster City where Mr. Currington was employed at the Raven Mill and Lumber Co. and later at the Webster City Lumber Co. For the past several years he had been employed at the Raun Lumber Co.

He is survived by his wife; one brother, Henry Currington of Victor, Mont., two sisters and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Currington was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion. He was also a member of the Methodist church.
