Gaylord Gray Crowell was born Sept. 1, 1918 to Charles E. and Sadie May Crowell. He died Aug. 28, 1943 and is buried in the Masonic Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.
Sgt. Crowell served in World War II with the U.S. Army Medical Detachment, 168th Infantry, 34th Infantry Division and died in Oran, Algeria while in the service of his country.
