Winning the War—News About Men and Women of Ottumwa Vicinity In The Service Of Their Country
Pfc. Arnold Crable, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Crable, of Fairfield, and cousin, of Lester Crable, 223 Frietag avenue, writes from Tunisia to his cousin here that he is well and enjoying good moving pictures but that the weather is extremely hot. Private Crable was a frequent visitor in Ottumwa before the war.

Arnold Veldy Louis Crable was born Oct. 19, 1919 to Clyde C. and Stella May Ridnour Crable. He died Nov. 25, 2007.
Arnold served with the U.S. Army in World War II and was awarded five Bronze Stars. He was a driver for General Patton.
