Wendell Roy Cox was born Mar. 11, 1920 to Dewey and Ellen Cox. He died Aug. 5, 1945 and is buried in Eldon Cemetery, Eldon, IA.
Sgt. Cox served in World War II with the U.S. Army 729th Railway Operations Battalion Transportation Corps and died while in the service of his country near Hasselt, Belgium.
