Robert Woodrow Cory was born Feb. 28, 1913 to Thaddeus Lincoln and Rosa Dora Hilgenberg Cory. He died Mar. 3, 1944 and is buried in Keokuk National Cemetery, Keokuk, IA. His body was returned from Nettuno, Italy.
Pvt. Cory served in World War II with the U.S. Army 9th Field Artillery Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division and died in the service of his country.
