John Ross aka Ross John Cofer was born Apr. 1, 1916 to Hiram and Milanda F. Dooley Cofer. He died Oct. 26, 1944 and is buried in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson, IA.
Pvt. Cofer served with the U.S. Army in World War II with the 9th Infantry, 2nd Infantry Division. He was KIA in Germany.
