J. Parker Cleveland, signalman third class, son of Mr. and Mrs. I.J. Cleveland, 229 S. Fairmount Street is serving on the U.S.S. Oconto. He participated in amphibious landings at Bougainville, Lingayen gulf, Mindoro and Okinawa. He is entitled to wear the American theater ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific ribbon with two bronze stars and the Philippine liberation ribbon with one bronze star.
