Forrest LeRoy Claude was born Nov. 2, 1926 to Peter Gussie and Hazel Mae Frakes Claude. He died Apr. 15, 1988 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.

Forrest was a U.S. Army paratrooper in World War II.

Forrest L. Claude, 62, of Webster City, was found at his home on Sunday morning, April 17. he had been in failing health for several years.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 19 at 1:30 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Clinton Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today.

Forrest LeRoy Claude, son of Peter and Hazel Frakes Claude, was born Feb. 11, 1926 on a farm east of Woolstock. He attended rural Wright and Hamilton County schools. Mr. Claude farmed for several years and later served as a paratrooper with the army during World War II.

On August 22, 1966, he married Hazel Marie Beadle in Minnesota. The couple resided in Webster City where he was employed by McCollough Manufacturing. He retired 12 years ago due to failing health.

Survivors are his mother; one brother, Ordean Claude of Webster City; one sister, Eulalie (Mrs. Edward) Hall of Story City.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother and one sister. Mr. Claude was a member of the Woolstock United Methodist Church.
