Lt. Donald L. Clancey

 

 

D. L. Clancey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis W. Clancey, formerly of Sioux City and now living in Los Angeles, has been commissioned a second lieutenant. Before his induction August 14, 1941, Lieut. Clancey was an employee of the International Milling company of Sioux City. He is a graduate of Central High School. Previous to his latest promotion, he was a member of the famous 77th division of New York where he gained the rank of master sergeant. Lieut. Clancey now is a member of the battalion commanders staff, stationed at Camp Livingston, Louisiana.

IN UNIFORM

First Lt. Donald L. Clancey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis W. Clancey of Los Angeles, former Sioux Cityans, is in route home with the 70th Trailblazer division from the European theater of operations. He holds the air medal with two clusters, the bronze star, presidential citation, French croix de guerre fourragere and the E.T.O. ribbon with six campaign stars and an arrowhead.
