Richard Mack ‘Mack’ Christenson was born Sept. 24, 1924 to Oscar P. and Maralyn L. Bentley Christenson. He died July 8, 2000 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.

Mack served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II and remained in the Air Force until he retired in 1966.

Richard Christenson, 75, Webster City

Richard (Mack) Christenson, 75, Webster City, died Saturday, July 8, 2000 at Southfield Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Webster City. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday at the Foster Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. on Monday at the church.

Richard Mack Christenson, son of Oscar and Maralyn Bentley Christenson, was born Sept. 24, 1924 at Kamrar. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1943. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He remained in the Air Force until he retired in 1966. He also was employed by the U.S. Post Office in Tucson, Ariz. He retired in 1986. Mr. Christenson moved to Webster City in 1987.

Survivors are his two sons and daughter-in-law, Randy and Linda Christenson of Santa Rosa, Calif., Darrell Christenson of Allen, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
