Orville Nelson Burgett was born Dec. 20, 1920 to Orville Nelson and Leona Mae Thompson Burgett. He died June 21, 1944 and is buried in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.
Lt. Burgett served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and died in the crash of his plane on a routine training flight near DeQuincy, LA.
