Pvt. Dorman Clifford Bowers

 

 

PVT. DORMAN BOWERS

Pvt. Dorman C. Bowers, 19, of the scout infantry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bowers of Center Point, was killed in action in Germany Feb. 27.

In the army nearly a year, having trained in Texas and Wisconsin, he went overseas in November. He was awarded the expert infantryman's combat badge in February.

Surviving, besides his parents, is a brother, Casper Allan Bowers, at home.

Pvt. Bowers was engaged in farming before entering service.

Dorman Clifford Bowers was born Jan. 26, 1926 to Harry C. and Cora Mae Morris Bowers. He died Feb. 27, 1945 and is buried in Dunkard Cemetery, Midway, IA.

Pvt. Bowers served in World War II with the U.S. Army and died in the service of his country.
