Ralph Lee Bottolfson was born Mar. 10, 1906 to Benjamin M. and Thora Marie Jensen Bottolfson. He died July 15, 1942 and is buried in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.
Sgt. Bottolfson served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and died when his aircraft hit wing on water in turn and crashed into the bay near Ellington Field, TX. Ralph had served in the Navy before joining the Army Air Corps, serving on the USS California, the Ancon (Ap66), the Ancon (AGC4) and Sierra AD18.
