William Marion Boots, Jr. was born Nov. 16, 1920 to William M. (Sr.) and Ruth Beatrice Frazier Boots. He died Sept. 15, 1942 and is buried in Oakland Cemetery, De Soto, IA.
Petty Officer Boots served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was KIA in the line of duty as a result of injuries sustained in a plane crash in Trinidad, British West Indies.
