Edwin Stanley Benson was born Sept. 1, 1917 to Edwin Bernhard and Sophia Mathea Benson. He died Jan. 18, 2014 and is buried in Pinecrest Memorial Park and Garden Mausoleum, Alexander, Arkansas.
Pvt. Benson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 94th Station Hospital in India.
