Friedrich “Fred" Allen Beese was born June 22, 1922 Hans Gustav Wilhelm and Emma W. Friedrichsen Beese. He died Aug. 31, 1994 and is buried in the Ames Municipal Cemetery, Ames, IA.
Sgt. Beese served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and became a Japanese POW.
