Raymond F. Barta was born Oct. 11, 1919 to Joseph H. and Anna Dorothy Spellerberg Barta. He died Mar. 15, 1945 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery, St. Avold, France.
Pvt. Barta served in World War II with the U.S. Army Infantry 253rd Infantry Regiment, 63rd Infantry Division and was MIA/KIA in Germany and was awarded the Purple Heart.
