Willard Guy Burris was born May 16, 1919 to Guy W. and Jesse Taylor Burris. He died Aug. 4, 2006 and is buried in Lawn Hill Cemetery, Stanhope, IA. Six months prior to enlistment, he was a resident of Des Moines, Iowa.
Willard served with the U.S. Navy in World War II as a Primary Aerographer in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and other stations. He also served in the Korean War.
