Donald T. “Don” Burke was born Aug. 16, 1922 to Martin Joseph and Susan Maude McClintock Burke. He died Nov. 26, 1944 and is buried in Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupre, Belgium.
Lt. Burke served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 854th Bomber Squadron, 491st Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/KIA in Germany aboard the B-24 #44-40108 “Blue Circle". He was awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal.
