Gerald Wayne Burhite was born Jan. 13, 1918 to Benjamin C. and Gertrude Mary George Burhite. He died Mar. 22, 1996 and is buried in the Osage Cemetery, Osage, IA.
Gerald served with the U.S. Army, Co. D, 13th MT Medical Battalion, in World War II. He was living in DesMoines, Polk county, at the time he entered the service.
