Arthur Brody will arrive home today from Grinnell college to spend the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brody, and attend the Drake relays.

Arthur Brody, Pilot, Killed

Son of Des Moines Attorney

Second Lieut. Arthur Brody, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brody of 930 Twenty-ninth st. has been killed in the European theater, the war department informed his parents.

Lieutenant Brody, a P-47 pilot, arrived in England from the United States about June 1, his father, a widely known attorney, said.

He was a graduate of Roosevelt High school and had attended Grinnell college for a year and a half before entering the service in February, 1943.

In addition to his parents, Lieutenant is survived by a brother Lieut. Joseph S. Brody of the army air corps and a sister, Mrs. John Corcoran, of Chicago.

Arthur David Brody, a member of the Grinnell class of 1945, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph I. Brody, Des Moines.  A second lieutenant and P-47 pilot in the Army Air Corps during World War II,, he was killed in England in 1944.
