SOLDIER’S NEWS.

John Brangwin, who has been in the navy for 10 months, arrived home this week for 11 days, and on his service ribbons he has 3 bronze stars.  These are for action in the battle of Saipan, the battle of Guam, and the battle in the Philippine sea.  He is a crew member on a destroyer.

John Edwin Brangwin was born Dec. 31, 1925 to John Henry and Matilda Louise Caroline “Tillie” Becker Brangwin. He died Mar. 26, 2016 and is buried in Memorial Cemetery, LeMars, IA.
