Merrill, Iowa—Special: Sergeant Elmer Boettger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Boettger, has been promoted to technical sergeant and is stationed at Fort Bragg, Texas.

SOLDIER NEWS.

Sgt. Elmer Boettger spent his 13 day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Boettger of Merrill and his wife who lives at Leeds. He was stationed at Fort Bliss, Tex., but while here he got notice to report to Camp Polk, La.

Elmer William Boettger was born Oct. 7, 1917 to Roy T. and Anna Boehm Boettger. He died Nov. 17, 1985 and is buried in Forest City Cemetery, Gretna, NE.
