Eldon Wilbur Blake was born Jan. 18, 1919 to Alexander C. and Edna Ellen Carpenter Blake. He died Mar. 30, 1945 and is buried in Florence American Cemetery, Impruneta, Italy.
Lt. Blake served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 416th Fighter Squadron and was KIA in Italy. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters.
