SERVING WITH COLORS
IN AUSTRALIA -- Pvt. Robert James Bishop, son of Mr. and Mrs. O.E. Bishop, 2028 Harrison street, has arrived in Australia, according to word received by his parents. Pvt. Bishop entered the army service six months ago and received his training at Camp Roberts, Calif. He is now serving in the communications division of the field artillery. He was formerly employed at the Besler Corp., Davenport.

Margaret E. Bishop, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O.E. Bishop, 2028 Harrison street, left Wednesday to start her "boot" training in the WAVES at Hunter college, N.Y..
A graduate of the January '43 class of Davenport high school, she was employed for the past two years as secretary at the Besler Corp.
Her brother, Pvt. Robert James Bishop had been stationed in Brisbane. Australia for 18 months until November, when he was transferred to Dutch New Guinea and is on the general headquarters staff there.
Prior to entering the service in February 1943, he was also employed at the Besler Corp.

Margaret E. Bishop, seaman, second class in the WAVES is now attending storekeeper's school at Georgia State college, Milledgeville, Ga. She recently completed her boot training at Hunter college, N.Y., after entering the WAVES January 10.
Miss Bishop is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Bishop, 2028 Harrison street. A Davenport high school graduate, she was employed at the Besler Corp., at the time of her enlistment.
Her brother, Pvt. Robert J. Bishop, who has completed 21 months overseas, is currently stationed int he Philippines.

Storekeeper Margaret E. Bishop of the WAVES has returned to Cleveland, Ohio after spending a seven-day leave here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O.E. Bishop, 2028 Harrison street.
According to word received her brother, Pvt. Robert J. Bishop, has arrived in Tokyo. He has been overseas 30 months serving in Brisbane, Australia, Hollandia, Leyte, New Guinea, Manila and Yokohama.
