Allen Calvin Berven was born Apr. 26, 1924 to Jacob and Marie Peterson Berven. He died Aug. 7, 1943 and is buried in Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy.
Sgt. Berven served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 489th Bomber Squadron, 340th Bomber Group, Medium and was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters.
