James Edmund Belger was born Feb. 28, 1913 to James and Mary Teresa Doyle Belger. He died Aug. 6, 1944 and is buried in Brittany American Cemetery, Saint James, France.
Sgt. Belger served in World War II with the U.S. Army Infantry and died of wounds received in action in France. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
