Pvt. Jim Beck

 

 

Pvt. Jim Beck departed Saturday morning for Camp Young, Calif., to report for army duty after having visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Beck. He was given a “delay en route” while transferring from Lincoln, Nebr., to the west coast camp.

James Joseph “Jim" Beck was born Feb. 23, 1923 to Adolph M. and Regina C. Wenner Beck. He died May 22, 2017 and is buried in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Granville, IA. 

Jim served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in the South Pacific Theater from New Guinea to Tokyo, Japan.
