Charles “Charlie” Augustson was born Nov. 19, 1916 to Anders “Andrew" and Bertha C. Barjeson Augustson. He died Apr. 20, 1944 and is buried in the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery and Memorial, Nettuno, Italy.
Pvt. Augustson served with the U.S. Army in World War II with the 133rd Infantry, 34th Division. He DOW received in action in Italy and was awarded the Purple Heart.
