Merle Ernest Archer was born Oct. 24, 1913 to Henry Hulbert and Mapelyt Catherine Weaver Archer. He died Apr. 26, 1978.
Pvt. Archer served in World War II with the U.S. Army Infantry, participating in the battle of the Aleutian Islands. He received the American Theatre Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon with one Bronze Battle Star, Good Conduct Medal and WWII Victory Medal.
