Pvt. Harold Loyd Andrews

 

 

Harold Loyd Andrews was born June 3, 1927 to Arthur Charles and Leila Louise Fuller Andrews. He died Mar. 16, 1945 and buried in Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupre, Belgium and has a cenotaph in East Side Cemetery, Estherville, IA.

Pvt. Andrews served in World War II with the U.S. Army 180th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Division and was KIA and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

His brother, First Lieutenant Richard C. Andrews, U.S. Army Air Corps was also KIA and is buried in Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupre, Belgium. Lt. Andrews was awarded the Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters.
