Myron Bernell Anderson was born Apr. 26, 1914 to Chris J. and Rosina Mork Anderson. He died Dec. 16, 1944 and is buried in Marion Lutheran Cemetery, Gunder, IA. He was originally buried at Lunebach, Germany but later disinterred and moved to the U.S. Military Cemetery, Neuville en Condroz, near Liege, Belgium. His remains were returned to this country at the request of his family.
Pvt. Anderson served with the Infantry in the U.S. Army in World War II as a member of the Antitank Co., 424th Infantry, 106th Division. He was KIA in the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Driver’s Badge, Good Conduct Medal and received the Purple Heart posthumously.
