Edsel C. Anderson was born Feb. 28, 1925 to Edwin J. and Carolyn S. Sheldahl Anderson. He died Jan. 10, 1945 and is buried in Sheldahl Cemetery, Sheldahl, IA.
Sgt. Anderson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 101st Infantry, 26th Division and was wounded in action, became a POW and had been returned to duty before being KIA in Luxembourg at the Battle of the Bulge.
