WHEREABOUTS.
Pfc. Richard A. Whipple has advised his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie R. Whipple, 1033, 2nd N.W., of his safe arrival overseas. His cablegram was received Armistice Day. Private 1st Class Whipple entered the service in January and went to Jefferson Barracks, Mo., for basic training in the army air forces, and from there was assigned to a unit at Hammer field, Fresno, Cal. At Hammer field he was placed on detached service to attend the army air force school of photography at Fort Lowry field, Denver, Colo., and was graduated from there in August. Private Whipple is a graduate of the Mason City high school and attended the junior college.
