“Three Musketeers”
HENRY CHRISTOFFEL, photographed at San Diego, is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Christoffel, near Remsen, and he has been in the Navy just about a year. And EMORY FRANK, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Frank of Remsen, has been in the Navy the same length of time. JOHN WALDSCHMIDT, to complete the trio, is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Waldschmidt, also of Remsen.

John Valentine Waldschmitt was born Dec. 23, 1909 to John Valentine and Bernadine “Dena” Zenk Waldschmitt. He died Feb. 24, 2002 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery, LeMars, IA.
