Lake City Soldier Sends Card From Jap Prison Camp
Lake City (THNS)—Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Twogood received a recent card from their son, Charles, who some months ago was reported to have been taken prisoner of the Japanese.
The following is the message, signed in the son’s handwriting and from Camp Philippine Military Prison No. 1:
1. I am interned by the Imperial Army.
2. My health is fair.
3. I am under treatment.
4. I am improving.
Get the plow ready, home soon. Give my best regards to Joe and Bud. (his brothers)
