Mrs. E. R. Thompson has received word that her son, Russell Thompson, who is an instructor at Sheppard Field, Texas, has been promoted from the rating of corporal to sergeant.

Russell Donald Thompson was born June 24, 1913 to Elmer R. and Alice M. Peron Thompson. He died Oct. 31, 2001 and is buried in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford, OR.
