John R. Thompson, Major, Eng. Corps, completed 3 months of desert training at Yuma, Arizona in January and is now in England. His wife is living with her parents in Omaha.

John Rhodes Thompson was born Feb. 28, 1917 to John Rhodes and Sophie Lauck Thompson. He died Aug. 22, 1987 and is buried in James Island Presbyterian Church Cemetery, James Island, SC. Col. Thompson served with the U.S. Army in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
