TWO CARROLL MEN ARRIVE IN ENGLAND
Pvt. Donald J. Spieker and Pvt. Arthur S. Halford have just arrived in England, according to word received by relatives here. Pvt. Spieker is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Spieker, to whom the message came. Mrs. Halford received word of her husband’s arrival. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Halford.

Donald Joseph Spieker was born Mar. 9, 1922 to Joseph and Mary Paulsen Spieker. He died Dec. 21, 1984 and is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carroll, IA.
Donald served in World War II with the U.S. Army.
