CEDAR TWINS WILL SERVE IN U. S. NAVY

Tipton—Gale LeRoy Sissell and Dale W. Sissell, twin sons of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Sissell, Tipton, recently enlisted in the U. S. Navy. Gale was accepted on Aug. 18, and is now in training at San Diego, Calif. On Sept. 1, Dale will report for service. These boys are reported to be the first twins to volunteer from Cedar county in the present war. They have just passed their 21st birthdays, having been born on July 22, 1921. Harry Sissell, an uncle of the boys, served for seven years with the United States Marine Corps, part of which time he was in Nicaragua, assisting in putting down the insurrection by Sandino, and participating in many battles and skirmishes in jungle fighting.
