OUR NEIGHBORS in the SERVICE

Rolfe, Ia.—Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Sanden of Rolfe, have been informed by the War Department that their son, Richard E. Sanden, was seriously wounded in action in Luxembourg on January 29. He was with the 17th airborne infantry division with Gen. Patton’s Third army. 

Three other sons of Mr. and Mrs. Sanden are also in the armed forces. They are Bruce at Fort Meade, Md.; Bernard, in the Pacific area; and Melvin, at Camp Fannin, Tex.

Richard Elwood Sanden was born Dec. 14, 1923 to Maurice and Enis Jarvis Sanden. He died Apr. 3, 1979.
